Senior Spotlight
Karleigh
Karleigh, a shining star from Orangefield High School. Dance has shaped Karleigh into a more confident and patient individual. Her favorite dance memory? A duet with one of her best friends.
Karleigh’s advice: “Cherish each moment, the time goes by fast.”
MiCayla
MiCayla attends Deweyville High School and has dedicated 17 years to dance. What truly sets MiCayla apart is her heart for dance at TDA, where she has found a dance family. She attributes TDA for learning teamwork and responsibility, and creating cherished memories, especially those moments dancing with her little sister and cousins.
Her advice to fellow dancers and to anyone pursuing their dreams: “Keep dancing. Practice will make you a better dancer. Follow your dreams.”
Georgia
Georgia has been a shining example of hard work and dedication on her school’s drill team and has set her sights on becoming a Kilgore Rangerette.
Her time at TDA has been more than just learning steps; it’s been about building a dance family. She’s learned invaluable lessons in discipline, patience, and teamwork, which have shaped her into the remarkable individual she is today.
Georgia’s advice to fellow dancers is to “soak in every moment; it will be over sooner than you think.”
Mia
Meet Mia from LCM High School, a remarkable dancer who has graced TDA with her talent in ballet, hip-hop, tap, and jazz. As a honey bear drill team member for four years and captain for two, Mia’s leadership and skills have earned her prestigious awards, including the All American Dancer and the Gussie Nell Davis award.
Mia’s journey with dance extends beyond performance; it’s her second family. Through dance, she’s embraced patience, teamwork, and discipline, and made lifelong friends she considers sisters. Mia reminds us of the power of kindness and self-grace.
